The Australian Technical College – Northern Adelaide commenced operations as a non-government school in February 2007.
The College delivers an integrated Years 11 and 12 academic and trade curriculum that meets both South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) requirements and industry expectations. Students undertake trade training at the Certificate III level and paid work through Australian School-based Apprenticeships in metals and engineering, automotive, electrotechnology, building and construction and commercial cookery.
The College also facilitates the development of information technology skills, career development, enterprise education, small business and employability skills so that students acquire the skills, knowledge and training they need to succeed.

The Australian Technical College – Adelaide South commenced operations in February 2007 as a new non-government senior secondary College in Christie Downs. A second campus is planned for Ottoway in 2009.
The College provides a fully integrated Years 11 and 12 academic and trade curriculum in-house that enables students to apply their academic education within an industry based technical environment. Students undertake trade training at the Certificate III level and paid work through Australian School-based Apprenticeships in building and construction, metals and engineering and electrotechnology.
The College is supported by Electrolux and Mitsubishi, as well as other local employers and industry associations, including MacWeld Industries, B & R Enclosures, Fibrelogic Pty Ltd, the Housing Industry Association Group Apprentice Scheme, and the National Electrical and Communications Association.

Adelaide Training and Employment Centre (ATEC)
The Australian Technical College – Spencer Gulf and Outback commenced in February 2007, operating as a new multi-campus non-government senior secondary school for Year 11 and 12 students.
The College covers the Spencer Gulf and Outback region through a principal site at Port Augusta and satellite campuses in Whyalla and Port Pirie. The College plans to expand to cover Roxby Downs and Port Lincoln in future years.
Students undertake academic curriculum in a partnership model where teaching is undertaken by both the College and local government and non-government schools.
In addition to completing requirements for their South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE), students also undertake trade training at the Certificate III level and paid work through Australian School-based Apprenticeships in their chosen trade. The College co-ordinates and case manages students' education and training programmes across the areas of metal and engineering, automotive, electrotechnology, building and construction and commercial cookery. Trade training is provided by TAFE and local Registered Training Organisations.
The College has strong industry support and community involvement including NRG Flinders, OneSteel, EDI Rail, Zinifex Port Pirie Smelter, SA Department of Education and Children’s Services, TAFE SA Regional, University of South Australia and the Catholic Diocese of Port Pirie. The Chair of the governing board is Mr Greg Clothier of Action Engineering, Whyalla.
